Hemlock Butte Cabin!

Had a great trip out to Hemlock Butte Cabin.  My first local hut trip! I love hut trips, BTW.  And this one is pretty sweet.  Easy skin in, and great access to Bailey near by.

LA to Alameda - July 2019

OK, I'm gonna try to catch up here soon... moving back and forth between current and older blogs.

Back to July... in So Cal.  After backpacking in the San Jacintos and spending the 4th of July in LA at Pat's we started road tripping up the coast back up to Alameda.

July 5th - Arroyo Seco/Kidspace

Brekky of eggs...

Lovin' Pat's deck

we headed over to Kid Space as a fam for the day to give Pat a little break

not sure what's going on with Kai's arm...

I went on a quick run from the museum... and just saw a few folks and a horse.
Pizza time!

July 6 - Griffith Park -> Refugio SB
I went on a quick run in the morning...
to the Hollywood sign... but I got a bit lost.
and ended up taking a BIRD home...
we quickly found Kimbo some beers so she was OK with me being late...

and ice cream for the boys
nice rocket box!
we found a campsite at Refugio State Beach

the campground wasn't great, but the beach was awesome.  And we spent all our time there anyway.

July 7th - to Alameda

Soon we were back in Oakland... oh home sweet home...
