Finally... the wedding. With all the nearby wildfires, the smoke was a real concern, but at this elevation the smoke stayed down low in the valley and turned out to be a beautiful day for a wedding at Bear Valley.

The boys woke up early, Kimbo was hung over, so I took my boys out into the brisk mtn morning. First, we watched the swallows across the street... |
Then they found the playground... |
And then on to the "Par-course". I think that is a play on parkour... |
Kai stretching, while NIkko swings... |
After some monkey bars, rope swings, tire runs we made it up to this reservoir... which is "private". I hate private lakes. That's probably the height of douchebaggery, IMO. |
Soon we gathered up the troops while our partners lay hung over begging for coffee... |
And we went back to Lake Alpine for a quick second... |
Maya knows how to get ready to party... |
And some scenes from the wedding. |
It was quite lovely. |
The live band was fun... good thing they had a big horn section as the power went out and there was no lights, or amps... but the horns, and drums kept it going... |
Nikko... asleep through the commotion |
The next morning, we had to organize our gear so we could all fit.. |
And we stopped by Bryce Station on the way down so Stu could meet Nikko and Kimbo. |
And we stopped by Murphys on the way down to cool off... |
and even got ice cream... again |
Nikko was in a funk here... |
This park is pretty sweet... |
Soon it was time to go... and time for hugs. |
