S. Lake BC Ski Shenanigans

Chillin' at the top of Tallac on a windy spring day...
I hardly ever get to ski in S. Lake anymore.  And the BC skiing down there IMO is head and shoulders above N. Lake... so the forecast called for crappy weather, but we for it and got two classics in two days.

Baby Cham on Tallac and Crescent Coulie on Round Top on our way out to Kirkwood.

Day 1: Baby Cham
fun crew!  As you can see the snow is all time... blower pow.
Spring Creek crossing
Barton checking out the front chutes

Love this mtn!!!
Looking over on the Kalmia ridge towards Dick's
staring down Baby Cham.  The conditions in the bowl were softening up, but we weren't sure about this aspect.
The elevator shaft entry was a bit too intimidating for us today.
Barton making his way down Baby Cham.  There was a funky bump at the end
but that was handled beautifully
B and I made our way over towards the main chute to watch Toro and Alexis make their way down the cross
Alexis with an unintentional tip drag...
which he almost skied out of...
Back at Baby Cham and Big Bird side... wasn't the day for Big Bird... one day.
Cutting back over, we got a nice view of another straight line shot.
made our way back up for another half lap on T.
And this time the rockies were blue.  And ready for consumption!
We party skied the NW Bowl
And then we cut into the front chutes.  and slayed it like John Morrison... LOL

And made our way to S. Lake Brew Co... I mean we can't pass it up right?

Day 2: Crescent Coulie

Barton and Alexis had to head home, so this day was just Toro and I.  We were joined in the am with one of HvF members, an awesome lady who I forgot the name of... she even picked us up at Kirkwood and gave us a ride home, what a rockstar!

start of the tour
Our first target in sight!
The snow was glistening... I can still feel that rough ice shaking my bones...
starting to warm up a bit

summit pic!
Toro checking out the entrance.  The snow was quite hard and a bit icy. So I opted to drop it solo

some of the peaks behind Round Top.  Mmmmm
Toro finding some nice snow.
Making our way towards the wood
And here we are at the top of Cali Chutes

Toro in the goods
and mach'ing our way out of there...
We did a few laps on chair 4, where we met up with Durbs!
Funky slide just out of bounds.
