Cabeceras Faro 600k - a wee bit wet...

This was my 5th 600k, and may have been the most epic.  A few days before the ride, there were dozens of folks signed up for the ride... then as the forecast turned worse and worse, there were just 3 riders.  And thankfully the Santa Rosa RBA said he'd be there if 1 rider committed to the ride.  I saw the forecast and knew what I'd be going into, and figured it'd be another adventure.  And oh boy it was.  I also bought laundry gloves, numerous changes of clothes, and a light heart into the adventure, which helped.

here was the forecast... not great... not great at all...

The main feature of this ride was on Tomki Rd, which featured 8 creek crossings.  The creeks turned into rivers.  There were flood warnings all through out the region.  That probably helped keep the car traffic down... an added bonus.
Sushi at one of the Safeway stops!
Tough week for sleep... somehow I managed.

Here's the final route.  We did get a few breaks for the storm.  And it was a full moon... and riding down hwy 1 in the full moon with no traffic for a few hours was quite magical.  These are the moments that keep me going back on the saddle.
