Rain at Sugar Bowl... off to the tunnels!

8 days.  Out of 38 ski days... were rain.  I gave up this year and bought some fishing pants and some waterproof gloves made for snowblowers.  But it is especially hard to take kids skiing in the rain.  At least for them to last all day.  I think that's near impossible.  Not that I'm complaining... we'll take the precip in any form we can take it...

Anyway, we had two rainy days in April at the ski cabin... we took the kids up to the ski hill on both days, but we ended up taking shelter at the tunnels.  The rain usually didn't last, but taking shelter in the tunnels was pretty fun.

rain, rain... no snow...

yeah... didn't last long at Sugar Bowl...

The second time, I remembered to bring some steel wool!... but it was so icy in there that we couldn't go all the way into the deeper tunnel.

Check out this tunnel kicker.  Through the tunnel, then boom...

This guy fell asleep mid-bite of his PB&J.
