| after backpacking in the San Jacintos with the Vaillancourts, we had a few days in LA to chill and check out the town. |

| and soon it was prepping time for the 4th of July BBQ. AKA, Nikko's half b-day party. |

| didn't get too many pics of the BBQ, but had a great time, chatting with Pat's buddies. Once night fell, the explosions started happening and we walked a block to the main street to check out the local fireworks, which were pretty spectacular. |
