Spring Break '21 Green River with the boys! - Part 3 - canyoneering!

Canyoneering down Morning Glory Arch with the Botts!

Once we were back in civilization, the boys... quickly found a geocache...

And we ate a huge meal!

Then we found some camping right outside of town.  Moab was ramping up for a Jeep Jamboree, so the place was mobbed.  And since we were going to be rappelling off of some big ole arches, I figured we should practice a bit.  We ran across the street and set up a rope so the boys could practice, while the Botts took a shower at the community center.

Sunset was amazing.

It was cooold.

We started hiking from camp.  Kimbo didn't want to do this again (she did it on my 2nd green river trip in 2003). So she drove to the other end with Shasta.

The Botts girls had no trouble and showed my boys what to do.

Go Aubrey!

Kai's face when he figured out that he's gonna be rappelling off this arch!

We met up with Brit.  She was out there guiding some mtn bike trips.

soon we got in the car and the movie watching began

great salt lake...

And 50 miles from our destination (just outside of the Ruby Mtns where Casey and I were planning to ski the next day... Terminal Cancer was in all time conditions...) the van blew up.

So the fam hopped in the Botts van.

meanwhile...

I got the van looked at.  And the headgasket blew.  So I decided to get AAA, get a tow to a Uhaul rental, and tow the van back to Ashland.

Shasta was enjoying time w/o daddy

And a few days later I made it back!

Spring Break '21 Green River with the boys! - Part 2 - on the river!

Had another successful Green River mission.  So I think I went Spring Break of 2000, 2003, and 2021.

Day 1

This was a sweet boondocking spot.

Poor Shasta...

Loading up... this is basically all we did this trip.  Load up, camp.  Pack up, canoe.  Unload the canoe, to camp, then load up the canoe, and paddle... on and on and on...

Parking... we used Coyote Shuttles for our trip... we were a bit skeptical, but we had to trust em... and it worked out!!!

Finally, we're off!

Dinner time!!!
