| Booya! Summit beer party at 9 am... |

Started the weekend off with a long ride to Lassen NP... Burney Falls is pretty, but sucks. Sooo crowded... where do these folks come from?

| after the Mexican food stop, we got some tornado warnings... which I thought was weird. Then we saw a rainbow. |

| After arrival, we got the kids to bed, had a few beers and bunked for the night. It continued to hail and this is what it looked like the next morning. |

| The sun soon came out and we saw a hail/snow covered Lassen every few minutes. |

| After lunch Sam and I decided to run up Chaos Crag. |

| I went out for a high consequence paddle with Sam. |

| We walked over to the ranger station so the kids could get their junior ranger badges! |

| Then we drove over to the caves |

| which was the right call given the cooooold weather outside. |

| Tim found some snow plants on the drive home. |
 |
| I've heard you can eat it like asparagus.... but I think this was too big. Ugh. |

| Next morning, Dave and I decided to go up towards Lassen for a quick skin |

| We made it an hour and a half before we were totally socked in and couldn't see anything... |
