Pine to Palm 2022! My Second 100!

 

Was quite nervous about this as I hadn't been training much for it.  But I relied on my base and the fact that I did quite well at SOB 100k and the mental fortitude in watching Sam suffer at WS100.  Smokey, hot, epic day!  My stretch goal was to finish under 24, so I'm super stoked!

Ended up  12th O/A and 10th for males.  

Off to Spain with Kimbo! Carros de Foc!

We decided to go to Spain! Kimbo wanted to go to Barcelona, so I looked into hut to hut hiking near by... and I found out about the Carros de Foc.  Which sounded awesome.

Stopped at an awesome kebab shop, grabbed a beer, and hit the sack.

June 22 (wed) - On the way down, I hit up Shasta for some crappy turns.  With crazy rime ice, I didn't summit either.   Oh well...

June 23 - did a last shakeout run with Sam and Oli.  Took the boys to ride Jellystone and went to the bike park afterwards

June 24th - got Metresed in the morning by Donner, Mtn Biking with the Metres ladies while I ran... and finished the day off by going back to the bike park

June 25 - Pahatsi beach, then went to Truckee bike park to watch the pros ride.  Then I started pacing Sam at 11 pm... and finished up at 8 am - Strava

June 27 - mtn biked to Serene Lakes beach,

Got some great pow turns with Ghelfi, then mtn biked in the snow with Nikko... So fun to get two lines in the bowl w/o any other tracks.

Flew to Puerto Vallarta, hopped on a bus to Sayulita.  Bus to San Pancho.  Bus to Chacala.  Then taxi from Chacala back to Puerto Vallarta.
