Crewing Sam at Western States!

June 22 (wed) - On the way down, I hit up Shasta for some crappy turns.  With crazy rime ice, I didn't summit either.   Oh well...

June 23 - did a last shakeout run with Sam and Oli.  Took the boys to ride Jellystone and went to the bike park afterwards

June 24th - got Metresed in the morning by DonnerMtn Biking with the Metres ladies while I ran... and finished the day off by going back to the bike park

June 25 - Pahatsi beach, then went to Truckee bike park to watch the pros ride.  Then I started pacing Sam at 11 pm... and finished up at 8 am - Strava

June 27 - mtn biked to Serene Lakes beach

1st ski cabin weekend at the cabin!

Spent a wonderful weekend up in Tahoe to kick off the Pahatsi ski lease and Nikko's 5th b-day.
went by Lot 1 to see how the lakes were doing.  The boys went to relieve themselves...
Family ski!
Gorgeous day!
And this stinko turned 5!

Caught a nice Serene sunset on my skate home
Castle lookin' good!
Cupcakes!

After a quick morning skate, we went back to Sugar Bowl for a half day of skiing.

We skied with Jiselle all day as Ty was getting one on one lessons with Rob.
Around 3, it started snowing hard... and by the time I got back closer to Pahatsi on my skate skis it looked like this...
And it was quite windy as well...
meanwhile, the kids were daring each other to go to the trees and back..
Nikko was amped and got dressed by himself!
Daddy needed a few solo laps...
Then I skied the rest of the day with this dude!
Wow... 800$ for all day private lesson.  Yowza...
After a busy b-day weekend, this pumpkin needed some rest.

Spring Break '19

Family!!!!
Another fun Spring Break in Tahoe in the books.  These weeks have been one of my favorites the last few years.  There's endless things to do on the summit!
More pics
Day 0 - completed a Fat Ass race with Sam and Josh.
Day 1 - skied half a day at Sugar Bowl with the boys!

Day 2 - had an awesome morning skate session, then did another half day at SB with the boys.
at the top of my favorite run

Day 3 - we took advantage of the free day at Royal Gorge that comes with our SB pass and had a blast with the Dufours.  That was unexpectedly fun.  This strava is off... more like 5-6 miles.

Nikko's confidence waned about here... 100 ft from the rental shop
But the kids made their way to the hut quite quickly.  Especially once they found out there is hot coco and candy for sale!

Then we took the kids to the train tunnels.
And they practiced ice/snow climbing...

Day 4 - managed to get a few hours free to ski with Kevin and Alexis, which was awesome.

Day 5 - did a morning lap with Dave and Alexis, where we ran into Tanner Hall, getting ready to shred the bubbles solo while his camera man was down below.  That was quite memorable.

Ski Boss!

Then met up with the fam and skied SB again.

Then I skated home during a blizzard.

Kai, who had just done a report on Jane Goodall, got to meet her after her talk in Tahoe City!
Day 6 - started off skate skiing on pow, which was fun.  Then went to SB and had a blast skiing the Palisades!!!  And took the boys to the caves.

Cavin' it up... smelled a bit skunky in there...
Took care of these dudes...
While Kimbo went to WWG

Day 7 - went back to ski the Bubbles with Metres.

Holla!
Such an amazing zone...

Ran into Kim and Ryan at WWG.
Day 8 - last day!  Boo hoo.  Made the most of it by going skate skiing.  The conditions were perfect so you could actually skate ski anywhere you wanted, which was a really fun experience.
Snow Creek Mtn... check out that chute.

holla!
back at WWG
Nikko so tall...
