This was my 5th 600k, and may have been the most epic. A few days before the ride, there were dozens of folks signed up for the ride... then as the forecast turned worse and worse, there were just 3 riders. And thankfully the Santa Rosa RBA said he'd be there if 1 rider committed to the ride. I saw the forecast and knew what I'd be going into, and figured it'd be another adventure. And oh boy it was. I also bought laundry gloves, numerous changes of clothes, and a light heart into the adventure, which helped.

here was the forecast... not great... not great at all... |

The main feature of this ride was on Tomki Rd, which featured 8 creek crossings. The creeks turned into rivers. There were flood warnings all through out the region. That probably helped keep the car traffic down... an added bonus. |

Sushi at one of the Safeway stops! |

Tough week for sleep... somehow I managed. |
Here's the final route. We did get a few breaks for the storm. And it was a full moon... and riding down hwy 1 in the full moon with no traffic for a few hours was quite magical. These are the moments that keep me going back on the saddle.
